Red Carpet - October 2017

"Amazing Performance! This is one of the best ways to raise awareness."

Red Carpet  by the late Liverpool-based playwright, Mark Curtis, focused on clinical depression and attempted suicide. The production was a rich mix of graphic drama and outrageous humour, laced with powerful physicalisation. The production was performed at the Arts Centre, Ormskirk and the Liverpool Festival for

World Mental Health Awareness.

Red Carpet was an account of a life cut short... a dramatic performance of manic humour interspersed with tragic truths.

"Susan is having a dream… it is her last dream…! She dreams of family and friends… of truths and deceptions. She visits versions of her past and perceptions of the present… of her numerous selves.... As her life fades, her mind struggles to understand...." (Mark Curtis, 2017.)
